Abd al-Ghani al-Nabulsi, Ta'tir al-Anam fi Ta'bir al-Manam

Whoever sees in a dream that he pardoned a sinner for a sin, then he will do a deed that Allah the Exalted will forgive him for; and the one pardoned will have a long life and attain a name and protection. And pardon is forgiveness.

Ibn Shahin al-Zahiri, al-Isharat fi Ilm al-Ibarat

As for pardon, it is praiseworthy, because it is among the deeds of righteousness and success. So whoever sees that he pardoned an offender for an offence will perform a deed for which Allah forgives him, on account of His saying, exalted be He: "And let them pardon and overlook. Do you not wish that Allah should forgive you? And Allah is Forgiving, Merciful."
